Four waterfalls are accessible via the same old logging road in Brevard. All four can easily be visited in one day. The logging road is located off gravel Forest Road 475B (also called Headwaters Road). Slick Rock Falls is also right off FR 475B.
This road is often closed in the winter.

Along a curve on FR 475B there is a Forest Management sign next to a gated road. For the logging road waterfalls, park on the outside of the curve out of traffic. Walk around the gate and onto the road.
Discovery Falls
About a quarter of a mile down the road there is a wooden bridge with an unmarked path to the right. It is another quarter mile to Discovery Falls along this trail which is steep and narrow at times.
Discovery Falls was spectacular close up! The water cascades 75 feet down the angled rock face making it difficult to take it all at once. See more photos of Discovery Falls and learn about the trail.
Log Hollow Falls and Upper Log Hollow Falls
Return to the logging road and cross the bridge. Continue on the road until you hit a second wooden bridge which is approximately half a mile from Headwaters Road. Log Hollow Falls is to the right of the bridge. The 25-foot waterfall is set back slightly from the road but easily visible.
A short, steep climb next to Log Hollow Falls will bring you up to the 20-foot Upper Log Hollow Falls.

Logging Road Falls
Continue on the logging road for about 10 minutes. The 75-foot Logging Road Falls also cascades right to the trail at a bend in the road.

Slick Rock Falls
Drive a little farther on FR 475B to get to the last waterfall – Slick Rock Falls. There is no parking lot so visitors will need to park at the curve along the road. Look for a trailhead sign and a set of rock stairs. It is a very short path (approx. 3/4 of a mile).
The 35-foot waterfall pours from an overhanging cliff onto some large rocks. You can walk or stand behind the waterfall in good weather. See more photos of Slick Rock Falls and learn about the trail.
