Four waterfalls (including Log Hollow Falls and Upper Log Hollow Falls) are accessible via the same old logging road. The logging road is located off gravel Forest Road 475B (also called Headwaters Road). This gravel road is close to nearby Looking Glass Falls and the Forest Heritage Scenic Byway.

For a hiking day full of waterfalls, check out the other four falls on Forest Road 475B.

This road is often closed in the winter.

Along a curve on FR 475B there is a Forest Management sign. Park on the outside of the curve out of traffic. There is a gated logging road to the left of the Forest Management sign, along with a trailhead marker (“to Seniard Ridge”) and road sign (5043).

Log Hollow Falls

Walk around the gate and onto the road. About a quarter of a mile down the road, you will cross a wooden bridge. Continue on the road until you hit a second wooden bridge which is approximately half a mile from Headwaters Road.

Log Hollow Falls is to the right of the bridge. The 25-foot waterfall is set back slightly from the road but easily visible.

Just to the left of the base, there is a spur trail which will bring you closer to the waterfall.

Upper Log Hollow Falls

The same spur trail mentioned above will take you to Upper Log Hollow Falls as well. It is a short, steep climb that zig-zags up the hill. You can’t see the waterfall from the road so you’ll need to follow the trail up the creek.

The upper falls is a 20-foot “bridal veil” waterfall. You can get very close to the falls but there is not a large area to stand in to view it.

Just a 10-minute walk farther down the road is Logging Road Falls. For other waterfalls in the area, check out my list of Brevard waterfalls.
