Silvervale Falls is an 80-foot waterfall near Blowing Rock, North Carolina. This roadside waterfall is, not surprisingly, on Waterfalls Road off US-321. Waterfalls Road is paved on one side of the falls and then turns to gravel on the other side.

There is a pull-off just in front of the waterfall, but when I visited the ground was torn up with a deep hole. Instead, I parked a short way up the road. There are gravel pull-offs on either side of the falls which can fit 2 cars. They are both on the opposite side of the road from the waterfall.

Silvervale Falls

Silvervale Falls flows directly to the road, making it an incredibly easy waterfall to visit. It is perfect for families and people with mobility issues. You can even view it from your vehicle as you drive by.

If someone is parked in the area in front of the falls, there is limited space to stand. Thankfully the road is not highly trafficked so, if you are careful, you can stand there to get a full view of Silvervale Falls. You can also walk right to its base.

It would be a stunning waterfall if not for the graffiti covering the rockface. Please do not deface any natural elements such as rocks or trees. This ruins the beauty for others.

There are many nearby sights and hikes on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Consider close waterfalls such as Lineville Falls and waterfalls near Mount Mitchell.
