Slick Rock Falls is a 35-foot waterfall off of gravel Forest Road 475B (also called Headwaters Road).

Four other waterfalls can be seen from this bumpy 6-mile road. For an easy hiking day full of waterfalls, check out the other Forest Road 475B waterfalls.

This road is often closed in the winter.

Slick Rock Falls Trail

There is no parking lot so visitors will need to park at the curve along the road. You can see the waterfall from 475B if the leaves are off the trees. There is a trailhead sign on the curve that reads “to Slick Rock Falls.”

From the road, there is a set of rock stairs up to the path. At the top of the stairs there is an information board to the left and wooden stairs to the right to continue on the trail. It is a very short path (approx. 3/4 of a mile). You may have to step or climb over fallen trees.

Slick Rock Falls

The waterfall pours from an overhanging cliff onto some large rocks. You can walk or stand behind the waterfall in good weather. In winter, ice formations can be seen due to the low flow of water.
